 Happy 7th Birthday Maddeck!!!

 New Keens!  He has been asking for a pair of Keens since last summer.

"This is the best day of my whole life!"

Maddeck asked to go shooting with Kyle for his Birthday.  Kyle is so busy with work and school over the next couple weeks that he will have to wait a little bit.  Maddeck, Evan, and Kyle are going to go to the gun range in East Wentachee soon to practice shooting.  Maddeck is excited to shoot and Evan is excited to be invited along to watch as one of the "men" in the family.  

Maddeck has grown up so much over the last year.  He is a strong reader and speller.  He LOVES school and looks forward to going (almost) every day.  Maddeck is like clockwork and wakes up on his own at 7 AM every morning.  He normally comes in our room and whispers in my ear, "Mom, it is 6:59. It is time to get up."  He gets himself dressed for school, eats breakfast, brushes his teeth, makes his bed, gets his shoes and jacket on, and is ready to go by 7:30.  We practice spelling words, phonograms, or math flash cards to get his brain going for the morning until Kyle is ready to leave.  Maddeck loves to learn and is eager and willing to do schoolwork and assignments.  He continues to love drawing, kendama, soccer, and riding his bike.  He is anxious to go skiing again, but we haven't had time in our schedule to take him up for his second lesson.  Maddeck is always ready to go anywhere and try new things.  One of his gifts at home in our family is his ability to bless and encourage others.  He loves to root on his brothers when they are learning something new and does a great job teaching and instructing them with things like counting, math, letters, and phonics.  He is complimentary and thoughtful.  Maddeck writes notes and draws pictures and places them under our pillows in bed.  When we climb into bed at night, we often find a folded up note from Maddeck (and Evan too).  We look forward to how the Lord will continue to mold and mature Maddeck as a seven year old.  Thank you Heavenly Father for the gift of our son.
